Paul is currently Head of Research at the West Midlands Economic Forum (WMEF), and a Visiting Professor of Economic Analysis at Birmingham City University. Prior to establishing the WMEF, Paul worked globally as an economist for over 20 years in the City Of London, for British, Japanese and Russian financial institutions. He also had a short spell as an advisor to the European Department of Institute of International Finance, Washington DC, and spent 6 years working in Papua New Guinea.
The WMEF acts as a neutral, independent forum bringing the private, public and voluntary sectors together to discuss and evaluate local economic performance.
